Cinema
Dido Blench and Sandra Morris
The Cinema Group offers fans of good movies the chance to see and talk about interesting, and often unusual, films. We screen a wide variety of movies chosen by our members, predominantly independent and foreign language films, followed by a lively discussion. Meetings are every third Tuesday afternoon, using the Blue Boar's projector and big screen.

Fun with Maths
Derek Ball
A group of us meet monthly on second Monday afternoons.
Do you enjoy using your brain to explore puzzles and patterns? This is what we do, more often than not using materials of various kinds with which to make geometrical pictures and patterns to discuss and investigate, and frequently there are significant mathematical ideas lurking behind what we are doing. We are a mixed group in terms of our mathematical qualifications, but this does not prevent any us from knowing exactly what is going on, while being challenged at the same time and, above all, enjoying ourselves.
